Our Staff

Principal

Bob has owned and managed businesses providing investment and retirement planning services for over 30 years. As principal owner of Stanwich Benefits Group, Inc., he helped build an investment management and retirement plan services firm into one of the largest independent firms in the country. Stanwich also provided 401(k) daily recordkeeping and outsource services. An exclusive provider to Fidelity for its Advisor 401(k) Program, Stanwich served plan sponsors with over 250,000 participants. Upon the sale of Stanwich to The Bank of New York, Bob served as the President of their Employee Investment Plan Division, developing their retirement, equity plan and insurance services. On leaving the Bank, Bob formed Avenir Equity, LLC and subsequently merged with Barbara Delaney and FFoA, providing employee benefit consulting and investment advisory services.

Principal

An innovative entrepreneur and respected business leader, Barbara J. Delaney has been navigating the financial world for more than twenty-five years. She joined E.F. Hutton in 1980 and rose quickly to be become Senior Vice President of Personal Financial Planning. She then progressed to The Tribus Companies, one of New Jersey’s largest employee benefit consulting firms, where she formed and ran the Investment Management Services Division. In 2001, Delaney drew on her intuitive business sense to launch her own firm, Fundamental Foundations (FFOA). In 2008, Delaney’s company merged with Avenir Equity and Madison Pension Services to become Stonestreet Equity, LLC Always active in the financial community, Delaney currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Women’s Pension Exchange and was recently appointed to the Advisory Board for Prudential Retirement Services. Delaney remains a sought after speaker who has appeared at numerous industry conferences and seminars. She has also authored a number of articles for industry publications. Barbara earned her B.A. in Business Administration and Economics from St. Thomas Aquinas College and attended graduate school at New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Managing Director

With over twenty years in the financial services industry, Heidi has managed businesses providing domestic plan design, administration and actuarial services as well as global equity plan consulting. She holds a FINRA Series 7 & 66 registrations with LPL Financial. Prior to joining Stone Street Equity, Heidi was the Executive Vice President & Managing Director at Madison Pension Services, Inc. a plan design and administration firm based in Westchester, NY. She also worked overseas as the International Employee Benefits Specialist for Shearman & Sterling, based in France, where she helped to build a successful global equity plan practice. Her prior experience also includes industry players such as Towers Perrin, KMPG, and the Retirement Services Division of the Bank of New York.

Heidi is a dual national of both the US and UK, fluent in French, and studied actuarial science in the graduate program at Georgia State University and applied mathematics and statistics at SUNY Stony Brook. Heidi also holds a black belt in both judo and karate, and has competed in international competitions. She lives in White Plains, NY with her husband, Craig, and two children.

Relationship Manager

With nine years of experience in the industry, Cathy worked at a Manhattan law firm for ten years and then the insurance industry for 5 years prior to joining StoneStreet in 2001. She holds a Series 6 registration with LPL Financial. Cathy graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College with a BA in Social Science.

Relationship Manager

With five years of experience in the industry, Kylee began her career at Principal Financial Group, working as both a Sales and Service Specialist for defined contribution and defined benefit plans. She holds Life and Health licenses and Series 7 and 66 registrations with LPL Financial. Kylee graduated from University at Albany with a BA in Communications and Business. She joined StoneStreet in 2007.

Senior Analyst

Spencer has over 6 years in the financial services industry. Prior to joining StoneStreet Equity, he was an analyst, trader, and portfolio manager, specializing in energy equities and commodities. He has also worked as an independent consultant providing due diligence and investment commentary/attribution for mutual fund managers. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations with LPL Financial, and is currently working towards completing his CFA designation.

Spencer earned his Master of Finance and BS in Management from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business in New Orleans, LA. 

AIF®

David Hinderstein leads Stone Street Equity’s not-for-profit consulting practice which assists plan sponsors in responding to the many challenges in managing their retirement programs.  David has extensive background and significant expertise in helping healthcare and not-for-profit sponsors meet their fiduciary responsibilities and in managing their investment provider relationships.  David was recently selected as Instructor at UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education TRAU- The Retirement Advisor University, where he will instruct on the not-for-profit retirement marketplace.  He is also a keynote speaker at several industry conferences. 

Prior to joining Stone Street Equity, David spent almost 12 years in various management and consulting positions with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.  Most recently, he was President of GBS Retirement Services, Inc, (the retirement division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.) with responsibility for consulting and servicing large defined contribution and defined benefit plans and overseeing all facets of Gallagher’s regional retirement services practices.

Previously, David held multiple positions with CitiStreet (formally the Copeland Companies), where his emphasis was consulting and servicing large defined contribution plans for healthcare and not-for-profit institutions.

David earned his BS degree in Finance from The American University in Washington, D.C., and has achieved the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation.  He also is an Investment Advisor Representative of Stone Street Equity an SEC Registered Investment Advisor and a Registered Representative with LPL Financial.
